EU Based Grants
The EU provides various forms of support for SMEs in the areas of: competitiveness, productivity and innovation. There are a number of points to note:
- In general the EU offers Grants and Loans of variable amounts
- A number of schemes require collaboration with businesses in other Member States
- A number of schemes are regionally based
- A number of schemes are industry specific
- Applications can be particularly extensive
- Many of the schemes are not administered by the EU but by a range of local organisations.
